VSM: For those readers who may be unfamiliar with NCP engineering, can you tell us more about its history and offerings?

RE: For 25 years, NCP’s sole focus has been on delivering innovative software that allows enterprises and consumers to overcome the complexities of creating, managing and maintaining secure remote network access. We are dedicated to providing solutions tailored to organizations’ remote user needs, and enabling our customers to leverage the latest end-devices to increase staff productivity and to adapt policy changes on-the-fly to reduce network administration.

Our award-winning product line includes an entry IPsec VPN client suite and a centrally managed enterprise VPN solution, which consists of an enterprise IPsec VPN client suite, hybrid IPsec/SSL VPN gateway, VPN management system and dynamic personal firewall. Each solution is interoperable with existing third-party software or hardware, and supports the broadest range of platforms (Windows 7/Vista/XP, Windows Mobile/Phone, Android, Mac OS X, Mac iOS, BlackBerry, Symbian and Linux).

We serve 30,000-plus customers worldwide throughout the healthcare, financial, education and government markets, as well as many Fortune 500 companies, from our global headquarters in Nuremberg, Germany and our North American headquarters in Mountain View, California. NCP also has a strong network of technology, channel and OEM partners including Juniper Networks, Astaro, Lancom and Arkoon.

VSM: NCP recently announced its NCP Secure Cloud VPN Offering. Please tell us more about this.

RE: We’ve essentially made our full product line readily available and easy to deploy in any cloud hosting environment. With the NCP Secure Cloud VPN Offering, hosting providers can offer comprehensive IPsec/SSL VPN through a SaaS model, and alleviate the management headaches associated with traditional hybrid VPN deployments. The ability to virtualize hardware-only VPN systems also provides a new, strong line of revenue generation from a hosting provider’s vantage.

Our technology is ideally suited for cloud offerings by providing true multi-tenant, modular software that is able to manage 10,000-plus concurrent IPsec / SSL VPN connections. The NCP Secure Cloud VPN Offering is also 100% compatible with all relevant networking technology and device operating systems, allowing hosting providers to simply layer the software onto existing technology, and avoid painful and expensive upgrades or replacements. With a less than $6,000 investment, hosting providers can get started with the NCP Secure Cloud VPN Offering.
