VSM: Can you explain what PaperShare is and what inspired its creation?

DG & DB: PaperShare is a new social content network for business and technical professionals, using high-quality content to connect people to information, individuals and companies in the same industries. Users can access, share and discuss all types of professional content, including white papers, applications, podcasts, presentations, videos, and case studies leading to better, more educated technical and business decisions.

We wanted to build a better way to find content and make it easy to find like-minded people interested in the same content. PaperShare offers users and companies a new and revolutionary way to increase business productivity and awareness.

VSM: How does PaperShare differentiate from other social media platforms?

DG & DB: PaperShare leads with content and reduces the noise of traditional search engines and networks. We wanted everyone who joined PaperShare to get highly-focused content, not what SEO dictated. PaperShare allows users to quickly find content about the topics they are interested in and allows them the opportunity to interact with people in the same communities around similar topics.

We’ve incorporated mechanisms that put a social “wrapper” around technical and business information which, in turn, makes the content more engaging. Users can read reviews and engage in discussions; view suggestions for related information based on who uploaded and viewed the content; access direct links to related companies; and join affiliated groups and external news feeds. Additionally, users can seamlessly export PaperShare activity into Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts to prompt others to access content on PaperShare.

VSM: How will PaperShare add value to both individual professionals and companies?

DG & DB: PaperShare adds tremendous value to both companies and business professionals. Companies spend a great deal of time and money creating white papers, case studies, product videos and collateral, but often time these resources go unnoticed because users do not know where to find the information. PaperShare eliminates this problem by providing specific content for industry professionals who are looking for information and resources to make better business and technical decisions. PaperShare allows users and companies to build a network of like-minded professionals interested in learning more about particular technologies and promotes the sharing of content, including technical white papers, videos and case studies.

VSM: What are some of the key features that differentiate PaperShare from other social networks?

DG & DB: There are three key features that we’d like to highlight:
