Datex Debuts New Inventory and Manufacturing Software for Cheese Industry
Datex recently introduced a new warehouse management system (WMS) which integrates cheese manufacturing and inventory storage, ideal for both cold storage operators and cheese manufacturers.
Clearwater, FL, May 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Supply chain software developer Datex Corporation recently introduced a warehouse management software solution which integrates cheese manufacturing and inventory storage. Developed with input from a major U.S. cheese manufacturer, the new inventory software solution includes features specifically used in cheese production such as tracking of vendor Lot with vat code, inspection schedules and workflows and Lot track and trace by ingredient. As many cold storage warehouses handle cheese inventory, the new features will prove especially helpful in inventory management operations.
One of the latest warehouse management system features is the ability to create multiple simultaneous holds for quarantine, visual inspection, tasting and other processes. Datex FootPrint WMS for the cheese industry also provides tracking of the aging process as well as for accelerated product tracking, temperature capture, temperature categories by location and SKU, zone/location temperature rule change and material SKU transformation as well as other new functionality.
“Cheese manufacturers love the new features we developed for their use. We have gotten great feedback from the industry so far” said Michael Armanious, President of Datex. “We recently introduced Datex FootPrint WMS at the International Cheese Technology Expo (ICTE) in Milwaukee and were very excited by the results.”
Datex is holding a free webinar Thursday May 3rd at 2 PM EST to showcase the new inventory and manufacturing software for cheese manufacturers.
