The 6th edition of Tech Policy Summit (TPS) will take place from June 6-7, 2012 at the Silverado Resort in Napa Valley, California. First held in 2007, the conference attracts a diverse group of industry executives, entrepreneurs, investors, consumer advocates, government officials and legal experts who will gather to examine critical policy issues affecting technology innovation and adoption.
Independently produced by SageScape, the creators of the annual Privacy Identity Innovation conference (pii2012), Tech Policy Summit offers a nonpartisan forum for learning and networking where the goal is to encourage dialogue so that there is greater accord between what happens in Washington, D.C. and what matters to technology leaders and consumers.
Over the years, thousands of participants have attended Tech Policy Summit conferences in Silicon Valley, Hollywood and Las Vegas, and more than 200 leading executives and government officials have spoken at the conference.
This year’s speakers include former Congressman Rick Boucher; Betsy Masiello, policy manager for Google; Nigel Cameron, president and CEO, Center for Policy on Emerging Technologies; David Binetti, co-founder and CEO of Votizen; Dean Garfield, president and CEO, Information Technology Industry Council; Michael McGeary, co-founder and director, Engine Advocacy; Rey Ramsey, president and CEO, TechNet; Berin Szoka, president, TechFreedom; Marci Harris, CEO of POPVOX and Harvey Anderson, General Counsel at Mozilla.
