Avectra to Participate in Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) TechKnow Conference
Company to host a variety of learning labs and educational sessions for fundraising professionals.

The AFP TechKnow Conference is an interactive learning experience designed to connect not-for-profit fundraising and management professionals with leading-edge information and effective practices in using technology to accomplish their organizations’ missions. The conference will position interactive websites and social media as core elements in today’s development mix via two areas of session emphasis: strategy and technology. It will feature opportunities for learning, networking, and exhibiting.
On Monday June 4, at 11:15 a.m., AvectraLabs president Sterling Raphael will discuss “A New Era in Fundraising” in a Learning Lab on the exhibit hall floor. Some leading nonprofit organizations successfully leverage strategies from social commerce, crowd funding, gamification, location-based apps, social CRM, niche communities, and Pinterest, while many are still struggling to figure out Facebook. It's time to stop taking baby steps into this new era and recognize a fundamental shift in both the culture and the technology that organizations need to maximize and sustain their value and relevance.
On Monday, June 4, at 1:15 p.m., Avectra’s John Clese will speak in an Educational Session on the topic “Business Intelligence Gets Social.” Clese will discuss how social organizations are scoring the likelihood of a given donor to renew their support, discovering emerging or trending interests in their constituents, benchmarking in new ways and automating processes built on social business intelligence.
On Tuesday, June 5, at 8:30 a.m., Penelope Burk of Cygnus Applied Research will host an Educational Session, “What’s in a number?… only everything! … how the best fundraisers use data to drive profit.”
