Today at Google I/O, OrangeScape Technologies announced KiSSFLOW, its new workflow product built to work exclusively with Google Apps. KiSSFLOW is an easy way to build workflows using an intuitive 5-step wizard. G-Workplace, a leading Google Apps Solution partner in Europe was one of the first companies to sign-up for the KiSSFLOW private beta programme.
"We’re impressed and excited by the ease and power of KiSSFLOW. In literally a couple of minutes, one can create and execute workflow applications, that can be put straight into production,” said Richard van Delft, Managing Partner at G-Workplace. “We anticipate that with KiSSFLOW, finally end-users are enabled to build their day-to-day (departmental) process applications with hardly any help from the traditional IT department."
“Given the large number of workflows that need to be automated in an organization, only a few can afford the time & budget to see the light. So, majority of workflows continue to run on emails, even today” said Mani Doraisamy, Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer of OrangeScape. “With the simplicity of KiSSFLOW, we have made these workflows automatable within budget.”
KiSSFLOW is the first workflow product deeply integrated with Google Apps. It has a familiar user experience consistent with Gmail, and works with Google Docs out-of-the-box. Google Apps users can now attach their Docs directly in their workflows and collaborate with other users and groups in their Google Apps domain.
In addition to Google Apps, KiSSFLOW also leverages the power of Google Cloud Platform - Google App Engine and Google Cloud SQL. Each business that signs up for KiSSFLOW is allocated with separate database on Cloud SQL. Thus, businesses get the benefit of control and security along with the power of Google’s self-managed cloud.
Running workflows on Google App Engine ensures availability of the application throughout the day - an important aspect of business continuity. Businesses can also breathe easy on month-end closures and growth plans, as Google App Engine scales well for peak usage and sudden growth of users.
KiSSFLOW is free for 10 users, in-line with Google Apps pricing. For additional users, it is $3 per user/month. This can make the buying process easier and familiar. Businesses on Google Apps with workflow needs can try it for free, before making the buying decision.
