Dimon also claimed that the loss could be raised by about US$1 billion this quarter. Still, in a congressional hearing held last week, Dimon said the bank would be "solidly profitable" in the current quarter since it normally gains approximately US$5 billion for each three months. Dimon promised that he will present a comprehensive report on the situation on July 13. By market close, JPMorgan shares dipped by US$0.90 (or -2.45%) at US$35.88 with more than 69.53 million shares exchanged hands compared to its average volume of 52.35 million shares. WellPoint, Inc. (NYSE:WLP): Earlier this month, WellPoint, Inc. (NYSE:WLP) appointed Mike Kapp as Senior Vice President and President of Federal Government Solutions. On June 20, the company completed the acquisition of 1-800 CONTACTS, Inc., a direct-to-consumer retailer of contact lenses in the U.S. Through the acquisition, 1-800 CONTACTS, Inc. will become a wholly owned operating division of WellPoint. Moreover, WellPoint is scheduled to publish its financial results for second quarter 2012 on July 25, 2012. WellPoint is a health benefit company in the United States with a market capitalization of US$21.80 billion. The stock plunged 5.17% in the session to US$65.90. There were 17.69 million stock shares traded, which was 5.9 times more than average volume.
