Bead added four new vision inspection systems during the month of July. Four more are scheduled to be installed in August. These state-of-the-art Dalsa vision systems verify every critical dimension on the nearly half a billion interconnect pins Bead Electronics produces each year. Additionally, these systems are sensitive enough to detect blemishes on plated surfaces that can affect solderability.
Periodic in-process sampling of high speed production is not reliable enough to meet the electronics industry's demanding quality standards.
