Ioxus Recruits Ken Rudisuela for Chief Technology Officer Post
Twenty-eight-year Ultracap Industry Veteran to Lead Research, Development, Design Efforts
Ioxus, Inc., a manufacturer of premium performance ultracapacitor technology for transportation, alternative energy, medical, industrial and consumer product markets, today announced that Ken Rudisuela has joined the company as chief technology officer (CTO). Rudisuela, who has nearly three decades of experience in the advanced battery and ultracapacitor market, will lead Ioxus’ engineering, research and development teams as the company continues to meet the expanding global demand for ultracapacitors and hybrid capacitors.
Rudisuela’s extensive experience includes leadership roles at companies that manufacture thin-format products similar to Ioxus cells. He was an engineering manager and later the general manager at Moli Energy, the only high-volume, commercial manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries outside of Asia. Later, Rudisuela was a founding member of Ashurst Technologies in Ukraine, which developed the highest specific capacitance activated carbon available. He went on to establish Arcotronics Technology Services, a global developer of advanced battery manufacturing processes and high-speed automated machinery. Most recently, Rudisuela ran two ultracap companies based in Canada and California, and he was the chief operating officer at GAIA/LTC, a German lithium-ion battery company.
“The CTO’s role at Ioxus is critical to the success of the company, which is why we conducted an extensive search that covered nearly a hundred candidates and brought in six finalists for interviews with executives and the board of directors search committee,” said Mark McGough, CEO of Ioxus. “Ken was our number-one choice. He brings just the kind of experience we need with thin-cell products, and he is exceptionally qualified to lead our research, development and engineering teams in creating the products that will win customers around the world.”
Ken Rudisuela, Ioxus chief technology officer, said, “Ioxus’ advancements in energy storage technology position the company at the forefront of this rapidly evolving market. I look forward to working with Ioxus’ talented team to stay ahead of the curve and deliver the ultracapacitors and hybrid capacitors that enable application innovation in so many industries.”
Rudisuela earned his Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Waterloo.
