Oculis Labs to Present at Prestigious SINET Showcase
Company Selected as a 2012 SINET 16 Innovator for its Potentially Disruptive Cybersecurity Solutions to Protect Mobile and Desktop Users from Visual Eavesdropping
Oculis Labs, a developer of data privacy software that protects mobile and desktop computers from visual eavesdroppers, today announced that the Security Innovation Network (SINET) has selected the company as a SINET 16 Innovator. Each year, SINET selects sixteen innovative cybersecurity companies to present in front of hundreds of builders, buyers, investors and researchers including U.S. Federal Agencies and corporations. Oculis Labs will present its PrivateEye and Chameleon solutions during the 2012 SINET Showcase on October 25, 2012 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
“Every year the quality of companies applying to present as a SINET 16 Innovator continues to impress the Showcase steering committee,” said Robert Rodriguez, Chairman and Managing Principal of SINET. “Since 2010 we have received hundreds of applications in our efforts to advance innovation, lead change and build trusted global collaboration models between the public and private sectors to defeat cybersecurity threats. We are confident that by raising the awareness of Oculis Labs and other finalists’ capabilities, there will be an enhanced opportunity to impact the most pressing technology needs of the Federal Government and private industry.”
Eighty emerging technology companies applied and were carefully vetted in a two-stage process by the SINET Showcase Steering Committee for the opportunity to present their cybersecurity solutions to an audience of representatives from defense, homeland security, intelligence and civilian federal agencies as well commercial, investment and research communities. Oculis Labs will be one of sixteen companies presenting on stage.
“We are pleased to be recognized by the 2012 SINET Showcase as a company that puts innovative security solutions at the forefront of its mission, as demonstrated by our selection as a SINET 16 Innovator,” said Bill Anderson, CEO, Oculis Labs. “Organizations spend significant time and money ensuring intellectual property and sensitive data is not leaked from networks and hard drives, but still face a considerable risk of data loss and compromise when that information is on display. Oculis Labs provides a unique way to protect vulnerable on-screen data, and this selection is a testament to our commitment to delivering the level of privacy that businesses and government organizations truly require.”
