CRN Names Compuware APM General Manager, John Van Siclen, a Top 25 Disrupter for 2012
Van Siclen Recognized for Industry-Changing Innovation
DETROIT, Nov. 29, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq:CPWR), the technology performance company, today announced that John Van Siclen, General Manager of Compuware's application performance management (APM) business, was named a Top 25 Disrupter of 2012 by CRN. This annual list--part of the publication's 2012 Top 100 Executives list--salutes the most influential and innovative channel executives in North America. These executives have shown an extraordinary ability to not only challenge the status quo but to turn it on its ear, driving changes in industry dynamics that deliver more lucrative opportunities for partners.
Van Siclen was recognized for his key contribution in helping change the face of Compuware's APM platform, broadening it to include must-have capabilities for modern data centers, such as monitoring solutions, mobile, big data and cloud applications.
"I'm extremely honored to be recognized as one of the Top 25 Disrupters of 2012 by CRN," said John Van Siclen, General Manager of Compuware's APM business unit. "Channel partnerships play a key role in the success and growth of Compuware's APM business. This recognition attests to our commitment to provide world-class, new generation APM solutions that deliver outstanding value to meet the business needs of our partners and their customers."
Winners were chosen based on nominations from solution providers and executives were ranked based on channel influence, effectiveness and visibility, along with business and sales impact. Key selection criteria included: channel sales volume, channel investment and resources, channel advocacy and visibility, and performance in UBM Channel research projects (including the Annual Report Card and Channel Champions). A panel of UBM Channel editors made the final selections.
"We're recognizing this year's Top 100 Executives for their commitment to the channel," said Kelley Damore, Vice President and Editorial Director for UBM Channel. "For 2012, our goal was to once again shine a spotlight on the most influential executives in the industry today. But we also wanted to pay homage to the channel advocates, sales and services leaders, innovators and disrupters. We salute all these leaders for their devotion to the technology channel and their willingness to adopt new strategies and policies in order to drive greater sales for partners, while positioning their own company for future growth."
