With final Tier 4 regulations going into effect in 2013 and 2013, Country Sales and Service explains that new engine prices are going up and remanufactured engines are gaining more popularity as a replacement solution for existing engines.

Orrville, OH (PRWEB) February 28, 2013

With the implementation of the new Tier 4 standards for Kubota engines and final regulations going into effect in 2013 and 2014, engine costs are on the rise (Engines of Change Aug. 1, 2010 Michael Roth | RERMAG). While previous emissions tiers primarily caused internal changes to engines, Tier 4 involves the addition of after-treatment components that in most cases alter the shape of the engine by adding a device similar to that of a catalytic converter in an automobile, and sometimes require design changes to the machine itself.

Some popular models will either be no longer available or cost significantly more due to new components being added to the engines by the manufacturer. “We're seeing the price of engines in some cases doubling depending on the engine package,” says Scott Schlabach, General Manger, Country Sales & Services. “Furthermore, with the latest Tier 4 improvements new Kubota engines will require more precise maintenance.”

But the good news is – consumers have another option when it comes to replacing an existing engine. Remanufactured / rebuild engines are gaining widespread popularity due to the ability to save on costs and decrease overall down time. Remanufactured engines can match the application or the machine that the engine is currently operating in. Another benefit of replacing an engine with a rebuilt engine is the fact that no emission or conversion updates are needed.

Country Sales and Service, LLC has a large inventory of remanufactured and most common Kubota engines to fit the following applications: mowers, excavators, pavers, sweepers, loaders, trenchers, skid loaders, tractors, and all Kubota applications. If they don’t have an engine in stock, they can completely rebuild a customer’s engine to spec within 10-15 business days.

All of their remanufactured engines have been disassembled discarding all worn and damaged parts and completely cleaned. All internal wear items are replaced with 100% OEM Kubota parts by a Certified Kubota Technician. Engines are then test run to ensure quality and are backed by a warranty.

“We also offer free engine technical support to all customers who purchase a new or remanufactured engine”, mentions Scott. He goes on to further say, “We’ve seen a considerable jump in companies’ interest in remanufactured engines with the new Tier 4 mandate in place – causing the price of new machines to increase. Companies need to understand that this is a much more cost-effective route to go – remanufacturing or repairing your existing machine. Many people are led to believe that they have to purchase new equipment, and that’s just not the case. It’s important to understand your available options and we’ll work with you to keep your equipment running at a lower cost.”
