Red Bend Software’s TRUE™ Solution for BYOD Named Finalist In CTIA’s 2013 Emerging Technology Awards
Red Bend’s TRUE™ recognized for Enterprise Innovation; Vote for “Best Online Pick” through May 20 at www.ctiashow.com/awards
Red Bend Software, the market leader in Mobile Software Management (MSM) with more than 1.75 billion Red Bend-Enabled™ devices, today announced that its TRUE™ Solution for BYOD has been named a finalist in CTIA’s annual Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards competition, in the Enterprise Solution – Security, Fraud & Privacy category.
The CTIA E-Tech Awards honor the industry’s most innovative new wireless products and services in mobile apps, consumer electronics, enterprise and vertical markets and networks. Winners will be announced at CTIA 2013™, May 21-23 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.
TRUE is Red Bend’s solution for mobile device manufacturers, service providers and enterprises to create and manage dual-persona smartphones and tablets that are “TRUsted by the Enterprise” for employee use. TRUE turns a single mobile device into two virtual phones running on the same hardware, using a Type-1 mobile hypervisor that creates the strongest separation possible today between personal and corporate data and applications. Because each operating system is completely isolated from the other, TRUE keeps an employee’s personal life private and work life secure. Red Bend and Samsung are currently partnering to offer enterprise trials of a dual-persona version of the Samsung Galaxy S III for use in BYOD programs.
“We are thrilled that Red Bend’s TRUE Solution for BYOD has been recognized by the industry as a leading enterprise mobility solution,” said Yoram Salinger, CEO, Red Bend Software. “Employees want one device that delivers a great user experience in both their personal and work lives. At the same time, CIOs are frustrated with first-generation BYOD approaches because they provide a false sense of security, infringe on employee privacy and are difficult to integrate with corporate applications. Leveraging our experience in managing billions of mobile devices, Red Bend took a totally different approach with TRUE, building a BYOD solution that delivers an excellent dual-persona user experience and meets the requirements for both enterprise security and employee privacy.”
Nearly 300 entries were judged by a panel of highly respected industry experts, reporters and analysts. Submissions were scored on innovation, functionality, technological importance, implementation and overall “wow” factor. E-Tech winners, including Best in Show and Online Pick, will be announced at the awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 22 at 2 p.m. PDT at CTIA’s Exhibit Innovations Stage on the trade show floor within CTIA World, booth #5646.
