HBAnyware Provides VMware Customers with Centralized, Secure HBA Management Solution for Virtualized Server Environments Leveraging the Benefits of SANs
VMworld, SAN FRANCISCO, September 11, 2007 — Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced that its host bus adapter (HBA) management solution, HBAnyware®, is now available to support VMware Infrastructure environments. Emulex HBAnyware is an HBA management platform designed for efficient, scalable and comprehensive management of Fibre Channel storage connectivity within a single centralized console. With today’s announcement, HBAnyware now supports current versions of VMware Infrastructure.

Emulex HBAnyware provides comprehensive control of Emulex LightPulse HBAs within a centralized, cross-platform framework, combining flexible remote-management options with secure access control. HBAnyware also automates key management tasks, such as driver configuration, firmware upgrades and boot from SAN settings, providing exceptional efficiency and flexibility in HBA configuration, operation and installation for support of local and remote management over in-band and out-of-band connections anywhere on a SAN.
