Surpassing standard PC solutions, over 700 SoftXpand workstations are being implemented throughout Mexico to boost education environments with cost efficient solution.

NETANYA, Israel - August 11, 2008- MiniFrame, supplier of a powerful multi-user PC solution, SoftXpand, announced that multiple universities and technical schools throughout Mexico are implementing hundreds of its PC workstations as a measure to boost their technology-based educational curriculum, as well as improving education environments and academic results. Instituto de Eduacion de Aguascalientes, Colegio de Estudios Cientificos y Tecnologicos, Universidad Tecnologica del Centro de Veracruz, and Escuela de la Ciudad de Aguascalientes are leading the trend of virtualization in the Mexican education system by demonstrating the financial benefits and flexibility of multi-user software. As a testament to multi-user technology's entrance into the mainstream market, Nitidata, MiniFrame's distributor in Mexico, has won a tender to deliver approximately 600 virtual PCs to the Instituto de Educacion de Aguascalientes this month. The SoftXpand solution won the bid over standard PCs and other multi user solutions.

SoftXpand's unique ability to convert one PC into up to eight fully independent virtual PCs consisting of only a monitor, keyboard and mouse without additional proprietary hardware, will fulfill the educational institutions' goal of supplying high performance PC workstations to the students and teachers  at an extremely cost efficient price compared to standard PCs.  Providing a full PC experience by supporting educational multimedia and graphic applications, the implementation of MiniFrame's software will help facilitate an enriching and interactive educational experience.

The President of Mexico, President Felipe Calderon is expected to inaugurate the library at the Universidad Tecnologica del Centro de Veracruz on August 13th, where tens of SoftXpand workstations have already been implemented, drastically improving the library's efficiency.

With the goal of increasing flexibility and computer access throughout the region, the Instituto de Educacion de Aguascalientes has chosen to implement hundreds of SoftXpand workstations in 15 of their "Centros de Maestros", used by teachers of various government schools to work, receive, and send information to the central institute. The Governor of the State of Aguascalientes, Luis Armando Reynoso, will inaugurate the "Centros de Maestros" August 18th. Nitidata León, an authorized HP certified distributor, will be responsible for integrating the full SoftXpand package on HP computers at the Instituto as well as nationwide.

MiniFrame's flexible solution will significantly reduce the schools' total cost of ownership (TCO), since the system only requires one CPU for multiple workstations, and will also only require maintenance and management of the host PCs.

Juan Carlos Casillas Pellat, Managing Director of Nitidata in Aguascalientes said, "I am very pleased to have won this tender, to help improve educational facilities in the region. SoftXpand's easy and rapid installation process will provide students with almost immediate and improved computer access, while eliminating the need for lengthy training sessions and additional expenses for IT personnel."

Eli Segal, MiniFrame's CEO stated, "MiniFrame's SoftXpand is a multi user software solution that is increasingly becoming mainstream, and this tender win shows this. It is an indication of multi-user technology's benefits by offering a highly cost efficient solution, while matching the performance of the standard PC. We at MiniFrame are leading PCs into the next generation as we continue to work with hardware manufacturers to offer a comprehensive solution to our customers".
