On June 11th, 2007 The VSM news staff found an article, on the Atlanta Business Chronicle web site, reporting that Invirtus was acquired by Quest software (Nasdaq: QSFT).

Since reporting on this acquisition VSM has contacted both Quest and Invirtus to ask for more information and inquire about Quest's plans for the future. Both companies unfortunately declined to release a statement to us. However, our friends at Vizioncore did respond when asked about their relationship with Quest Software. Vizioncore sent VSM this statement

"Vizioncore is a majority owned, separately run subsidiary that will be the main virtualization sales and distribution model for Quest moving forward".

We thank Vizioncore for this reply and VSM will report more as soon as Quest responds. The VSM news staff invites Quest for a podcast "Quest Software's Virtualization Strategy".
