BLUE BELL, Pa., October 16, 2007 – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced that it has signed an agreement with Scalent Systems to use Scalent Virtual Operating Environment (V/OE) software as a key ingredient in Unisys real-time infrastructure solutions for enterprise data centers.

The Scalent V/OE software enables data centers to react in real-time to changing business needs. It does this by dynamically changing which servers are running and how those servers are connected to networks and storage systems. This dynamic resource allocation is guided by predefined rules specific to the business and happens without physical intervention.
The Scalent software expands the capabilities of Unisys real-time infrastructure solutions. It will enable Unisys to create solutions that complement virtualized server environments and associated transformation services, encompassing solutions and services for the entire enterprise IT infrastructure.
