– Viridity Software,
an innovator in data center energy management and optimization solutions, today
announced that it has appointed industry veteran Steve Keilen Vice President of
Marketing. In this newly created
position, he will be responsible for the company’s global marketing efforts,
including product management, product marketing and marketing/corporate
communications, as well as building the inside sales function.

Prior to joining
Viridity, Steve Keilen served as Vice President of Marketing and Inside Sales at
Marathon Technologies, an award-winning provider of fault-tolerant, high
availability software for physical and virtual servers. In this position, Keilen was responsible for
marketing, inside sales, and product management/marketing strategy; including a
complete re-branding of the company and its products, the creation of a
comprehensive global marketing plan, the inside sales go-to-market and channel
development strategy, as well as direction of the strategic product roadmap.
These efforts resulted in growing the company’s customer base from 400 to over
2,500. Prior to Marathon Technologies,
Keilen held the position of Vice President of Industry and Field Marketing at
Stratus Technologies, a market leader in fault-tolerant, high availability
hardware, software and services. During
his tenure, he was responsible for strategic sales and marketing programs that
generated an average of 128% year-over-year growth and over $22 million in
annual revenue. Prior to Stratus, he held
senior sales and marketing positions in the U.S. and abroad with Interactive
Silicon, Forgent Networks, Compaq Computer and Hewlett-Packard. Keilen holds a Bachelor of Science in
Industrial Engineering from Michigan State University.
