Working at the Management Group level of SAN/IQ, we created access lists that would handle a group of iSCSI volumes. We virtualized volume ownership by granting access rights tied to the iSCSI initiator ID of a system, such as the Dell 1900 server running via the VMware software initiator in  SX.
