Running in a Windows Server VM on the Dell 1900, oblLoad delivered close to 2,500 IOPs over a wide spectrum of I/O daemons. Again, SAN/IQ balanced the I/O load over both VSA modules in our heterogeneous cluster. A closer look at throughput on each VSA, however, shows the DELL server with twice the cache and 50% more spindles was twice as fast processing I/Os.
