When we failed the VSA running on the HP ML350 ProLiant server, there was an incredibly slight pause on the VM running the oblLoad benchmark. IOPS dipped 15%—from 2,050 to 1,725 IOPS—as SAN/IQ failed the cluster over to the remaining VSA. Performance then rose 45%-to 2,960 IOPS-with the faster VSA. When we ran oblLoad in the single VSA configuration, the average IOP rate rose to 3,200.
