Andres Rodriguez - Profile
Andres Rodriguez - CEO & Co-Founder of Nasuni
Andres Rodriguez is CEO and co-founder of Nasuni. His previous company, Archivas, developed an enterprise-class cloud storage system and was acquired by Hitachi Data Systems in 2006. After the acquisition, Andres became Hitachi’s CTO of File Services, supporting the worldwide rollout of the Archivas-based Hitachi Content Archive Platform (HCAP). Having overseen the successful integration of his team and product into Hitachi Data Systems, Andres turned his attention to his next venture, which, with its goal of extending the benefits of cloud storage to business, was a natural progression from his last.
Before founding Archivas, Andres was CTO of the New York Times, where he drove digital strategy at NYTimes.com and Boston.com, and worked extensively with their archives on digital content preservation. He came to the Times as the co-founder and VP of engineering for Abuzz, an early social networking company the Times acquired in 1999.
Andres has a bachelor’s in engineering and a master’s in physics from Boston University.
