Lee Kirby - Vice President of Strategic Operations at Skanska

Lee Kirby has more than 30 years of management, technical and administrative experience in all aspects of information systems, strategic business development, finance, planning, human resources and administration both in the private and public sectors. Lee has successfully led several technology startups and turnarounds and led world-class global operations.

He currently heads Skanska’s Strategic Operations Group which leverages the best practices of our Mission Critical COE group to ensure maximum returns and optimal performance of our clients’ data center services. Lee advocates for the integration of strong quality control systems within the culture and values of the organization. Only then is it truly ingrained in the mind set of people and their processes and systems. Under his leadership, Skanska’s approach to ensuring quality starts from the top down, and means more than just a check in a box. It is rooted in our core values, improves our day-to-day project activities and leads to guaranteed outcomes.

Lee holds professional certifications in management and security (ITIL v3 Expert, Lean Six Sigma, CCO). He also serves as a frequent contributor for several industry publications, including Data Center Management, Processor Magazine Network World and BusinessWeek. In addition to his many years as a successful technology industry leader, he has masterfully balanced a successful military career over 36 years.
